When it's cold in south Texas, we all complain more than anyone else. We're not used to it!
Today it is only 46 degrees F. outside and raining. The school district here is having a soccer tournament today and tomorrow, which is an annual tradition for starting "official" soccer season. (Soccer season in TX must NOT conflict with football!) Unfortunately, the weather is expected to deteriorate as the day goes on.
MJ and her fellow Ray HS soccer players have played two games so far, and there is one more to go. They barely won the first game and were slaughtered by the El Paso team. It's yucky outside, and I've been sitting in the car to watch, even though I can't see too well. (None of the few other mothers are outside, either.)

They won the third game! But it had dropped to 43 degrees F. by the early afternoon!

yay on winning the third game!
(sounds like running the car heater and having a cup of hot coffee were in order for spectators)
Hooray on the win!
46 degrees is cold, if you're not used to it.
Hope you had hand warmers and a hot cup of something tasty!

Well I am glad they won something- I admire that they were out there on a cold and wet day and playing soccer.
