Too Many Books!

My good friend Nancy sent me this belated happy birthday card with this message in it:

"Now, if I could only remember where I put your present!"

I can totally identify with that statement, because I often put future gifts in "safe" places. I had a moment of panic last night when I started looking for daughter MJ's birthday presents, but fortunately found them. . . .after some looking and looking.

Now those and clothes for colder weather are packed in my suitcase. I am going to visit MJ in Salt Lake City today! Her birthday is on Monday, and I will stay until Election Day. (That is why I voted early.)

In a little while, I will begin driving to San Antonio to the airport there.  Then I'll take two different planes to Salt Lake City via Southwest Airlines. I arrive at almost 11 pm so that MJ is able to meet me after the organic chemistry lab she TA's.

Birthdays are fun. I am glad I'll be with MJ for hers. Plus, I really like the birthday card I received in the mail today!
