Christian Unity or Disunity?

Dave Walker put his cartoon with a good post about "Christian Unity."

that which unites us

That image shows the situation for the Christian Church, not just the Episcopalian Church. It also illustrates human to human perceptions of each other--what we look at instead of realizing our overwhelming connection.

Many fine posts have recently been written about this, so here are only a few I've found this morning. You know others, like MadPriest and Wounded Bird and Episcopalooza. (I have to stop now, or I'd go on way too long. . . .)

Katherine's post about Episcopalians in Fort Worth: You can't have it both ways

Katie at Desert's Child continues to write pertinent posts about the Episcopal Church, and Katherine cites her in the above post.

And don't forget Dave Walker's post about "Christian Unity."

This is a great cartoon, and cause for great optimism, I think!

The Episcopal church is my own denomination of choice (that is, when I show up) and I pray for healing for all who worship within this tradition---those I agree with and those I don't. And of course, for all Christians and all non-Christians. May we all realize that we are one!

We bring our humanness, our tendency to fall, wherever we go, don't we? Church included.

Serena, Chorus, Episcopollyanna, and Garten, thank you for commenting. This is such a profound cartoon/symbol that I think I need to pray with it for a long time. It's almost an icon of humanity!
